I’m a senior manager at RAK Ceramics, one of the largest ceramics manufacturing company that exports Tiles, Sanitary Ware, porcelain Tableware, and Faucets to more than 150 countries around the world.
What challenge were you trying to address with Brainvire Infotech Inc?
We wanted to start selling our products online, and the board gave us the directive to go online within three months. We needed to find a partner that could develop an e-commerce platform for us quickly without sacrificing its quality and speed.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Brainvire Infotech Inc developed a B2C e-commerce site for us.
We split the project into three phases. The first phase involved the development of the MVP, which we launched one month ago. The second phase involved implementing new features as well as extra pages into the website. The third and final phase involved integrating the whole e-commerce business into our ERP system, SAP.
We started the project by gathering our requirements, explaining what we wanted to achieve to Brainvire Infotech Inc, and documenting everything we discussed.
After that initial phase, they set off into Agile development. After developing something, they would test it and hand it over to me for further testing. I would then provide feedback, after which we would move on to the next component.
Tiles are one of the biggest divisions that we have, so we had to implement some custom features to the site for the tile industry. In tile manufacturing, we have the concept of tile batches and Brainvire Infotech Inc implemented batch customization into the site to help us easily manage these tile batches.
Aside from that, we requested a feature that we call a “tile finder”, which allows customers to browse different kinds, colors, and sizes of tiles more easily and in a user friendly manner.
